ACCOUNTANT

We are a professional services company seeking an Accountant with experience in Property and Casualty insurance accounting. Your focus will be to manage accounting responsibilities and financial reporting for captive insurance companies.

Major Duties:

    • Work with CFO to compile, review, analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial information from various sources and prepare working papers and internal, statutory and GAAP basis company financial statements and supplementary schedules for various captive insurance companies
    • May reconcile assigned company investment and cash accounts, as well as basic general ledger account reconciliations; provide Chief Financial Officer with support in preparing schedules and research/analysis for more difficult account reconciliations
    • May review or determine general ledger account, department and allocation coding for invoices, check requests, and travel expense reimbursements
    • May enter data into accounts payable software or give payment request documentation to Accounting Technician to enter into software
    • May audit requests for return premium and commission adjustment payments and various day-to-day activities for owned agency; submit payment requests to manager for approval of payment; may notify company personnel of missing endorsements or other discrepancies between agency billing system and insurance company processed activity
    • Responds to inquiries and answers questions from internal, external or insurance department auditors regarding financial transactions, balances and procedures
    • Performs special projects or related duties as assigned or as situation dictates

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field equivalent
    • One (1) year related work experience preferred
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to compile, analyze and communicate financial information, meet deadlines, identify and solve problems, and organize workflow
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Proficiency in personal computer and related software

Your focus will be to interact with clients and troubleshoot problems providing technical and administrative support to external clients and client projects, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will answer questions and concerns related to our custom software products. You will assist through email, desktop, and/or telephone support. In addition, you will support the implementation process and training for a variety of clients.

We are a professional services company seeking an Application Support Lead. Your focus will be to lead help desk associates and oversee day-to-day operations of the help desk. You will provide first- or second-line support, along with help desk associates, for our web-based applications, by providing technical and administrative support to Information Services external clients and client projects. You will answer questions and concerns related to our custom software products via email support, desktop support, and telephone support. You will train and mentor employees and new hires. You will perform implementation support services to include form builds, implementation meetings and end-user training. You will interact with clients and troubleshoot problems to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Other duties as assigned.
