On October 26, we hosted a complimentary webinar that
focused on our National Benchmark for
Excellence in Patient
Safety™
(BFEPS) Program designed specifically for critical access, small
and rural healthcare facilities and their patient safety
management needs. The webinar also introduced the Healthcare
SafetyZone® Portal, our web-based
tool for patient safety management.
Since the launch of the program earlier this year, small and
rural hospitals from five states have joined the program and
momentum is growing nationally.

Nursing Peer Review: A New Program to Support a Culture of Safety
and Professionalism
On 12/14/10, three of the Nursing Peer Review Leaders at Moses
Cone Health System joined us to review their nursing peer review
program's construction and the successes it has achieved.
During this webinar, participants:
- Learned how nursing peer review is conducted at Cone
Health
- Learned how the successful nursing peer review program
at Cone Health supports the 5 forces of magnetism in the ANA's
Magnet Program
- Learned how nursing peer review improves patient safety,
healthcare quality and outcomes
