Clarity Group is proud to join healthcare organizations around the world in recognizing World Patient Safety Day.
This year's theme from the World Health Organization, "Safe care for noncommunicable diseases," and its slogan, "Safe care for life!", put the spotlight on people living with chronic conditions.
Why Chronic Conditions Call for a Safety Focus
Heart disease, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory illness and other noncommunicable diseases are rarely managed in a single visit. Patients move between primary care, specialists, pharmacies, hospitals and home, often for years, and every handoff along the way is a chance for a missed diagnosis, a medication mix-up or a lost piece of information. Keeping these patients safe means paying attention to the whole journey, not just one encounter.
Patients as Partners in Safety
The campaign also calls for involving patients and their communities in spotting risks and shaping solutions alongside clinicians and health leaders. People who manage a chronic condition every day often notice warning signs first, and giving them a real voice makes care safer for everyone.
Our Commitment
At Clarity, we see that same principle in the work we support every day: when safety events and near misses are captured consistently and shared openly, organizations can learn from them and better protect the patients who rely on them most. Safe care for life is a goal worth working toward before, during, and after World Patient Safety Day.
